STURGEON BAY UTILITIES Regular Meeting May 10th, 2022 President Stewart Fett called the regular meeting of the Utilities Commission to order at 12:01 p.m. Roll call: President Stewart Fett, Mayor David Ward, Commissioners Dan Williams, Seth Wiederanders, Gary Nault, Dina Boettcher and Steve Christoferson were present. Also present were General Manager James Stawicki, Electric Supervisor Jason Bieri, Water/Sewer Utility Manager Jeff Hoffman and recording secretary Laurie Bauldry. Ward/Williams to adopt the agenda (complete copy on file at the Utility office). Motion carried. Nault/Wiederanders to approve the minutes of the regular Commission meeting held on April 12th, 2022 Motion carried. The Commission proceeded to review the bills for April in the amount of $1,976,560.65. Fett/Boettcher to approve payment of the bills. Motion carried. The March 2022 financials were presented. Williams/Christoferson to accept the financials. Motion carried. General Manager Stawicki reported on the current investments and their allocations. No formal action was taken. The operations report was presented by Water/Sewer Utility Manager Hoffman and Electric Supervisor Jason Bieri. Fett/Wiederanders to accept the operations report for April. Motion carried. Council members updated the Commission members on City-related activities and developments. The next item of business was the General Manager's report: a) Adjustments b) Focus on Energy report There was no public comment. Wiederanders/Nault to adjourn. Motion carried. T-Mobile USA is proposing to modify an existing wireless telecommunications facility on an existing building located at 423 12th Ave., Green Bay, Brown Co., WI 54303. The modifications will consist of replacing antennas at an approx. top height of 169ft on the approx. 160ft building (measured to the penthouse). The George W Mead Wildlife Area is applying for a permit to apply the aquatic herbicide Habitat to the following: Approximately 40 acres at Mead WA, South Rice Lake, SESW 1/4 section 34, T26N R06E (Town of Green Valley, Marathon County), 25 acres at Mead WA, Hwy S south of gravel pit, W 1/2 NE 1/4 , section 02, T25N R05E (Town of Milladore, Wood County), and 55 acres at Mead WA, east of North Honey Island, N 1/2 SE 1/4 , section 26, T26N R05E (Town of Green Valley). for selective control of woody vegetation. Restrictions on irrigation and potable water use, swimming, and fish consumption do not apply to the project site(s). The treatment application will occur in August or September and is weather dependent. Warning signs will be posted at the treatment sites prior to treatment. Adjacent riparian property owners, if applicable, will receive a copy of the permit application. The applicant will hold a public informational meeting on the proposed treatment if five or more individuals, organizations, special units of government, or local units of government request one. The person or entity requesting the meeting shall state a specific agenda of topics including problems and alternatives to be discussed.
