City of Manitowoc Notice of Public Hearing on 2023 Comprehensive Plan The Comprehensive Plan is a blueprint for the short-range and long-range growth, redevelopment, and preservation of the City. It will be used by City officials as a policy guide to help make decisions regarding the growth and development of the City. The Draft Plan is a complete update of the City's existing Comprehensive Plan, which was adopted in 2009. The Final Draft 2023 City of Manitowoc Comprehensive Plan can be viewed here: https://www.manitowoc.org/2452/Comprehensive-Plan-Update Public Hearing Notice is hereby given that the City of Manitowoc Plan Commission and City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the Council Chambers at City Hall, 900 Quay Street, Manitowoc, WI. The public hearing will take place at a joint meeting of the City Council and Plan Commission. The public hearing will be held to gather public input on the Final Draft 2023 City of Manitowoc Comprehensive Plan. Following the hearing, the Plan Commission will consider recommending the plan to the City Council for adoption. The City Council will also consider adoption of the plan at this meeting. The hearing is regarding the following proposed amendment to the City of Manitowoc Comprehensive Plan (PC 8-2023): to revise the Map of Future Land Use for property located at Calumet Avenue, Dewey Street and S. 42nd Street. The proposed revision is to change the future land use classifications from the "Institutional and Public Parks & Open Space" classifications to "General Business". The Common Council determines that such improvements shall be made under the police power, and the amount assessed against each parcel shall be on a cost per front foot, area, or unit cost basis. That the assessment against any parcel shall be paid in accordance with Section 3-2-14 of the Menasha Municipal Code. Upon completing such report, the Board of Public Works is directed to file a copy thereof in the City Clerk's Office for public inspection. Upon receiving the report of the Board of Public Works, the City Clerk is directed to give notice of a public hearing on such report as specified in Section 66.0703(7)(a), Wisconsin Statutes. The hearing shall be held in Room 132 of Menasha City Center at a time set by the City Clerk in accordance with Section 66.0703(7)(a), Wisconsin Statutes. The notice and hearing requirements of the above paragraph do not apply if they are waived, in writing, by all the owners of property affected by the special assessment, as specified in Section 66.0703(7)(b), Wisconsin Statutes. City of Neenah 2023 Load Limits (State Statutes Sec. 349.16) On March 10, 2023, the City of Neenah will be implementing a 10-ton weight limit restriction on all gravel, 2" bituminous, and oil and chip streets in the City as listed: 1. All streets in the Southfield Estates Subdivision without curb and gutter. 2. All streets in the Liberty Heights Subdivision without curb and gutter. 3. All streets in the Arthur Plat. 4. All streets in the Castle Oak IV, V and VI Subdivisions. 5. All streets in the Cottages at Woodside Green Subdivision and the Woodside Green Estates Subdivision. 6. All streets in Integrity Acres and First Addition to Integrity Acres Subdivisions. 7. All streets in the Cardinal Plat. 8. All streets without curb and gutter in the City of Neenah not listed above.
